| Not named in father's will but named as minor heir of Philo Howard on the Guardians Bond signed by Casendana Howard, Austin Howard, Melvin Howard, and Eugene Howard. On the Guardians petition Casesdana is named mother of "Emerson Ahira Howard and Zaida[sic] Howard."35 On the 1900 Federal Census, Zaidee is listed as having one child and that child was living.34 Theodore died a year after his mother, so when the his mother's estate was finally settled on 20 Aug 1936, Zaidee received, with her daughter, $233.55 from the estate Ann Levey.14 Obituary: "Mrs. Zaidee Levey, 86, died Sunday at Hezelhurst rest home. Born in Blackberry township, she had lived in this vicinity all her life. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Amy L. Clever; seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday from the Johnson funeral home, Rev. Gilbert Johnstone officiating. Burial was in West Batavia Cemetery.36 | ||||||||||||||||
