| From circumstantial evidence, Melinda is probably the daughter of Barnet and Sarah (Lines) Portlock. See family notes under Barnet and Sarah for explanation. Found an Alis Bridges, dau of L. and M., buried in the Shinar Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery who died 16 Mar 1855 age 5 years 1 month, and 8 days.
