"Mrs. Oliver Lucas, former Winterset resident, died Tuesday evening, June 3rd, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Root of Des Moines. Mrs. Lucas suffered a heart attack last week and had been seriously ill since that time.
"Mrs. Lucus was the former Harriet Bridges of Winterset. Following her marriage to Mr. Lucas, the made their home here until after his death. Mr. Lucas was an attorney here.
Mrs. Lucas is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Root of Des Moines and a son Willilam Robert of Detroit, Michigan.
Funeral services will be held here Friday afternoon, June 6th at the Anderson home for funerals, at 2 p.m., and burial will be made in the Winterset Cemetery."
